Key Responsibilities:

<li>Leads the Tax function at the entity level under DT &amp; IDT</li>

<li>Delivers tax strategy plan; design, communication and execution – in line with Tata Starbucks Strategy</li>

<li>Ensures efficiency and transparency of tax processes and systems.</li>
</ul>

<li>Ensures sound decision making on tax-related matters at the overall level.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Acts as the DT &amp; IDT expert &amp; oversees other DT &amp; IDT managers for policy, planning, litigation management &amp; continuous improvement.</li>
</ul>

<li>Manages relationships with tax authorities &amp; tax partners.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Encourages and promotes a culture of creativity, discipline and people connect. Promotes and foster a team culture consistent with the organization’s values.</li>

Essential role duties:

<li>Advises the entity on tax policies and directives</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Coordinates with tax team on tax planning and ensures central policy implementation for Tata Starbucks</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Leads appeals and tax litigation – responsible for tax decisions on negotiations on an entity level</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Represents Tata Starbucks towards local Tax authorities, conducts tax reviews</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Provide advice on tax related matters to Finance Team, including tax optimization across the entity</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Owns timely and proper execution of tax reporting &amp; compliance</li>
</ul>

<li>Assesses tax risks and compliance</li>
</ul>

<li>Leads Tata Starbucks tax team.</li>
</ul>

<li>Consults on tax audits</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Provides tax support on transaction structuring &amp; contracts</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Coordinates transfer pricing compliance, documentation, and implementation</li>
</ul>

<li>Creates tax awareness and provides tax training to the business</li>
</ul>

<li>Works with CFO to ensure compliance with accounting policies and statutory obligations</li>
</ul>

<li>Exhibits a strong focus on people development within own area and consistently improves capabilities and engagement in the direct and indirect team</li>

Qualification

<ul>
<li>Chartered Accountant or MBA in Corporate Finance</li>
</ul>

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

<ul>
<li>10+years’ experience in field of taxation</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Experience of leading Direct Taxation &amp; Indirect Taxation function</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Exposure in International Taxation</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Knowledge of global &amp; Indian capital markets, their structure, participants and the instruments traded on them</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Knowledge of financial control or other corporate treasury department</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Assertive and persuasive in communication</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Experienced in influencing multi-disciplinary teams and in people management</li>
