Key Responsibilities:

<ul>
<li style="text-align:start;">Be a custodian of Paytm s brand among key Government, academic and civil society communities.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li style="text-align:start;">Building and maintaining good relationships wrt regulatory bodies (SEBI/RBI/IDRA)</li>
</ul>

<li style="text-align:start;">Develop strong relationship at the central ministries and departments (including MoF, MEA, MoCA, MoCI, MEITY, MHA, DoT, Niti Ayog)</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li style="text-align:start;">Develop and scale our relationship with the state governments, working closely with our regional business teams.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li style="text-align:start;">Deep expertise in Identifying, Analyzing, developing positions, and driving advocacy on political, policy and regulatory issues pertinent to Paytm s business in India.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li style="text-align:start;">Strong understanding and willingness to build strategic relationships.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li style="text-align:start;">Technical understanding of the Fintech technology architecture</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li style="text-align:start;">Experience for engaging with Industry associations and drive the policy matters.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li style="text-align:start;">Develop and manage trusted relationships with key influencers, Government officials, academia, industry peers and Trade associations.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li style="text-align:start;">Support business growth by strategically positioning Paytm and its assets with key decision makers in the government. Candidate must have strong connects in key Central Ministries.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li style="text-align:start;">Candidate should be able to drive various policy positions for Paytm, arrange meetings with key Govt. Stakeholders at short notice.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li style="text-align:start;">Work with cross functional teams (legal, sales, communications, marketing etc) to develop positions supporting technology policy, trade policy, workforce, and local government issues.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li style="text-align:start;">Draft advocacy materials, position papers, collaterals on policy and regulatory issues.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li style="text-align:start;">Work closely with teams engaged in CSR, Communications and Marketing to plan and support interactions and events that engage external government and industry leaders to build Paytm s thought leadership. </li>
</ul>
Requirements:

<ul>
<li style="text-align:start;">Bachelor/ Post Graduate degree, or equivalent proven experience in public policy and/or law. Passionate about Tech Policy, ICT and Telecommunications Policy.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li style="text-align:start;">05-08 years experience in Public Policy and Government Relations.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li style="text-align:start;">Must have relevant experience working on corporate/government affairs</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li style="text-align:start;">Deep knowledge of policy making process and anatomies at Centre, state governments.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li style="text-align:start;">A self-starter with an ability to work in a fast paced, multinational environment</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li style="text-align:start;">Excellent written and verbal communication.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li style="text-align:start;">Proven Experience to develop/present public policy positions before government or other key stakeholders.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li style="text-align:start;">Values collaboration, with demonstrated abilities working cross functional teams.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li style="text-align:start;">Experience in a relevant business or non-governmental organization or think tank, or in a political, governmental or regulatory context</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li style="text-align:start;">Ability to quickly get up to speed on complex technical and regulatory issues</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li style="text-align:start;">Ability to work independently as well as a team player in a multi-task work environment.</li>
