Key Responsibilities: 
Billing/Invoicing: 
<ul>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Manage the complete billing cycle from sales order to invoice generation to payment collection. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Generate and send accurate invoices to clients in a timely manner. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in billing information or payments received. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Maintain accurate records of all billing transactions and client communications. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to ensure billing accuracy and client satisfaction. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments. </li>
</ul>
Reporting and Analysis: 
<ul>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Prepare periodic billing reports and present them to the finance manager. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Ensure correct billing information is used for external reporting and compliances (GST and others). </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant accounting and MSME regulations. </li>
</ul>
Client Relationship Management: 
<ul>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction.   </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Collaborate with sales, operations and customer success teams to resolve billing issues and improve customer experience. </li>
</ul>
Process Improvement and Compliance: 
<ul>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and procedures related to billing and related account receivables. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Identify and recommend process improvements to streamline operations and enhance efficiency. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Assist with audits as needed. </li>
</ul>
Requirements

What we're looking for: 
<ul>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting and/or Finance </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">5 + years of experience in Billing or Accounts Receivable function in an Indian business environment </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Proven ability to manage and motivate a team. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems e.g. Tally, Zoho, Oracle or other ERP </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Ability to work independently and as part of a team. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.   </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Strong understanding of collection laws and practices. </li>
</ul>
Preferred Criteria: 
<ul>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Experience in manufacturing industry would be preferred </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Self-starter, smart worker and someone willing to go the extra mile. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Experience in managing invoicing/billing function for a B2B enterprise would be an advantage. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Experience with reporting tools – Excel or dashboards. </li>
