Job Responsibility 

<ul>
<li>Implement and maintain security controls: automotive systems, including ecus (electronic control units), communication networks, and connected components.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Risk assessment and mitigation: identify potential risks related to automotive cybersecurity. develop strategies to mitigate risks, considering safety, privacy, and compliance requirement.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Incident response and recovery: prepare incident response plans and procedure. coordinate responses to security incidents, including analyzing and containing breaches.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Stay current with industry trends: keep abreast of evolving cybersecurity threats, standards, and regulations specific to the automotive industry.</li>
</ul>
 Competency Required

<ul>
<li>Familiarity with secure coding practices, secure software design, and secure development methodologies</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Knowledge of automotive-specific security standards ( e.g., ISO/SAE 21434) and EURO REGULATIONS R155, R156 etc.,</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Understanding of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and secure communication channel</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Ability to identify potential threats, assess risks, and prioritize security measure</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Understanding of secure OTA update mechanisms for automotive ecu</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Clear communication to convey security concepts, risks, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and management.</li>
</ul>

Specific Expertise for functional area

<ul>
<li>Essential: Hands-on experience with security assessment tools. Understanding of the cybersecurity management system (CSMS) &amp; software update management system (sums) requirements</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Optional: knowledge of penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and fuzz testing </li>
