Key Accountabilities

<ul>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Accurately apply incoming payments (checks, wires, ACH, lockbox) to customer accounts as per remittance advice.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Research and resolve unapplied or misapplied payments</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Work closely with collections, billing, and bank reconciliation teams to address discrepancies and open items.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to cash application, unapplied cash, and exceptions.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Identify trends in recurring issues and work proactively to resolve root causes.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Ensure adherence to internal controls, SOX compliance, and company policies in all cash application processes.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Maintain updated process documentation, including SOPs and cheat sheets.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Support internal and external audit requirements by providing accurate and timely documentation.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Assist in identifying opportunities for automation and process efficiency.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Participate in system testing, UATs, or implementation of enhancements as needed.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Support onboarding and training of new team members and provide guidance on complex cases.</li>
</ul>

Key Skills &amp; Experiences

Education and Experience

<ul>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Bachelors or Masters Degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and 1-2 Years work-related experience.</li>
</ul>

Technical Skills and Knowledge

<ul>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Accounting Knowledge: Good Knowledge of Accounting Principles and concepts and the ability to apply them to the companys Accounting practices.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">System Knowledge: Good knowledge of the relevant IHG systems like People soft, Essbase etc. </li>
</ul>
