Responsibilities

<li>Responsible for leading multiple projects with no oversight</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Help to develop procedures and standards.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Responsible for the technical quality and effectiveness of the mechanical design.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Create and verify conveyor layout, detail, air, load, structural drawings, schematics, and equipment orders as applicable to the project.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Plan equipment layout, material flow, and measures to maintain efficient and safe utilization of resources and equipment on projects as assigned.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Work with other engineering disciplines in the development and application of material handling equipment and solutions as required in support of project needs.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Delivers in house assignments as per the agreed timeline and set quality standards for 2D/3D CAD work. Follows work plans and cost estimates for work within project budgets, troubleshooting and support activities.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Perform a variety of calculations and prepare detailed multi-view drawings based on engineering data and standard references.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>In the field, identify field safety concerns; confirm equipment was installed per plans; communicate design issues and improvements with customers, site superintendents, general contractors, and installation crews; adjust conveyor design to accommodate for field interferences.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Provide planning, reporting, and management of the mechanical project, in addition to technical implementation.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Take full ownership of the mechanical project elements and execute (and/or delegate) individual tasks throughout the project life cycle by coordinating and forecasting mechanical resources in-house and on site.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Take a systems approach in understanding core design features, project elements, and overall mechanical architecture and manage the scope, budget ( COs), and schedule, maintaining internal and external customer expectations throughout the project life cycle.</li>
</ul>

Qualifications

Education:

<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering </li>
</ul>

Experience:

<ul>
<li>Minimum 5+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience is required.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Experience with Warehouse automation technology, material handling systems.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Preference to candidate with an experience of leading projects in material handling industry.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Preference to candidate with detail knowledge of conveyor parts, assemblies- sub assemblies etc</li>
</ul>
