What will I be doing

<li style="margin-left:0px;">Configure database servers and monitoring of system performance to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Independently analyse, solve, and correct issues in real time providing problem resolution end-to-end. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Provide 24x7 on-call support for critical production systems during outages. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Support scheduled maintenance and release deployment activities </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members. </li>

What skills do I need 
<ul>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">9+ years of experience in SQL Server Administration, including at least 2-3 years in AWS or Azure cloud environments. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Strong experience with SQL Server versions (2019+), Azure SQL Database, and Azure SQL Managed Instance. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Proficiency in SQL Server performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Expertise of MongoDB, PostgreSQL and Linux systems hosted in Production environments2 </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Administer, configure, and maintain SQL Server Instances in Production environments </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize code to enhance performance in the cloud environment. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Implement security policies and best practices to ensure data protection, encryption, access controls, and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Design backup and recovery strategies for SQL Server databases, ensuring disaster recovery plans are in place and regularly tested in the cloud infrastructure. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Set up high availability solutions including Always On Availability Groups, Failover Clustering, and Cloud-native services </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Manage SQL Server updates and patches ensuring minimal disruption and compatibility with cloud-based systems. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Work with various services in both AWS and Azure cloud environments to manage and automate database operations. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Develop and implement automation scripts for regular maintenance tasks, performance monitoring, backups, and reporting using PowerShell, T-SQL, and Cloud infrastructure Automation. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Use various monitoring tools and third-party solutions to monitor Instance health checks, resolve issues, and respond to alerts in a timely manner. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Work closely with development teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure effective communication across teams. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database configurations, procedures, policies, and best practices in the Cloud environment. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Expertise in setting up and managing high availability solutions like Always On Availability Groups and SQL Server Failover Clustering. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">In-depth knowledge of various cloud services and tools (AWS Cloud watch, CloudTrail, S3, Azure Monitor, Azure Security Center, etc.). </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Scripting skills in PowerShell, T-SQL, or Azure Automation for managing and automating tasks. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Familiarity with compliance, security standards (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.), and data privacy regulations. </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Experience in working with Windows server and any relevant certifications will be an added advantage </li>
<li style="margin-left:0px;">Experience in database migration and hybrid cloud environments.</li>
